World of social marketing?

World of social marketing?

It was life Jim but not as we know it, Captain. I hope you follow Star Trek and childrens films or you will be totally lost by now.

If you talk to people and occasionally someone makes you an offer they got cheap recently and that’s why they can sell it on to you at a “steal”, then you are dabbling in the world of social marketing. That is life in the real living world where social marketing is about selling to your friends, Avon for example, you make friends, have parties and sell the products from Avon.

Times change, the dinosaurs nolonger roam the earth and man can do much more than grunt these days, we are living in a world of social marketing where people we trust make us offers we just can’t refuse. Everyone hates spam so it’s no use trying to sell by bulk email campaigns using a list gather by who knows who using whatever means, it’s just not good business sense.

life of Social marketing?

life of Social marketing?

It’s much better to build yourself a portfolio of friends through any or many of the social networking sites now online. Enter the world of social marketing and you will find you can sell to people you have never even met simply because you have used your social networking skills to gain their trust. Ok so you may not use the internet for chatting or sending messages, this is where I can help you gain the essential skills you need.

Do you have a Positive Mental Attitude? http://gimesum.com/blog/positive-mental-attitude/290/ http://gimesum.com/blog/positive-mental-attitude/290/#comments Tue, 21 Jul 2009 19:37:19 +0000 Paul Palmer http://gimesum.com/blog/?p=290 PMA, a positive mental attitude is a significant issue in life. Your approach to life will not only affect you, it will also affect anyone you interact with. When you interract with

Kiss and Make up?

Kiss and Make up?

others the message you convey is directly affected by your attitude to the circumstances you are in and the way you perceive the person you are communicating with.

I always focus on the postive aspects of the location I am in and the people I am interacting with, my positive mental attitude to others has often helped my defuse an emotive situation. If you find yourself in a position in life where you can see conflict is about to occur think about the issue in hand from both sides and put forward the positive aspects of both parties views.

Often when you display a positive mental attitude towards the way they are behaving the conflict will gradually subside as each individual starts to see the other persons point of view. There is a lot of truth in the saying try standing in the other persons shoes, it really does help to diffuse conflict.

It makes no difference where you are a positive mental attitude can and will help you get through it even in hospital. It is a well documented fact that people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and treated as though they were about to die have deteriorated over time and died. Not just on one occassion there are many instances, sometimes when the post mortem is carried out the diagnosis was wrong, there was nothing wrong with the patient except that had a negative mental attitude and believed they would die;

I am king

I am king

Take note as this is the power of the mind, a negative attitude can and does have the opposite effect of a positive mental attitude.

Paul Palmer

Live life the way you believe it should be and it will happen just for you; if you have a positive mental attitude, anything is possible

Independent help a rare commodity http://gimesum.com/blog/independent-help/202/ http://gimesum.com/blog/independent-help/202/#comments Fri, 22 May 2009 08:33:02 +0000 Paul Palmer http://gimesum.com/blog/?p=202 Are you in business looking for some independent help to boost you on paul palmer, independent helpyour way to making a substantial income? Is anyone out there truly independent or does everyone you deal with have their own ulterior motive?

Why do you help others? Think for a while do you have your own reason to help someone or do you just do it because you can. It can be really difficult to get truly independent help that is not going to want something back in return.

I have a full time job myself, but unfortunately recently my wife and I decided it was time for us to go our separate ways. She moved out and I needed help, independent help that would not place additional demands on me as its hard enough anyway coping with 3 sons. I joined plenty of fish a free dating site on the recommendation of a woman who was working for me and had a little fun.

It took me some time to come to terms with the change when everything was thrown up in the air again I found out I was going to be made redundant, now I really needed that independent help but how? What would be the best way to move forward and cope with the changes in our lives

It’s not easy to decide when you are in this situation, so many people want something in return. I did get some independent help from parents of my youngest son’s friends, ideas about where I could go who I could get money from and suggestions for child care assistance. These people were a god send, I didn’t know where to run and their advice helped me look into the options available. Without them I probably would be very unhappy now struggling to cope and probably in the dole queue claiming on the mortgage insurance sinking into a deep depression.

making you richer, independent helpInstead with the independent help I received I am living life to the full enjoying every day for what it holds and doing a job which allows me to spend more time with my three children than ever before.

Many people out there despise change they fear it, my experience has shown me I must embrace change as you never know what is round the next corner. I hope this inspires you in some way to do the same. I’m getting twitterpated at the moment, sign up on the right you’ll find it’s an excellent way to change your life.

Please leave a comment I’d love to hear about how you too have embraced change and benefitted from it, with or without independent help.

What is pet tomography http://gimesum.com/blog/pet-tomography/142/ http://gimesum.com/blog/pet-tomography/142/#comments Tue, 21 Apr 2009 22:02:33 +0000 Paul Palmer http://gimesum.com/blog/?p=142 Quite literally pet tomography is positron emission tomography so really it can be referred to as pet without having to include the additional word tomography since it is part of the acronym. However the additional word is often retained in order to ensure the correct level of clarity is maintained in the context of a conversation or publication.

pet tomography, manufacturing technician, radio chemistPET tomography is a clinical test that uses a special camera to detect a radio labelled isotope. This has to be introduced into the body in an appropriate form dependant on the type of investigation that is being carried out.

The first stage in pet tomography is to introduce the radio labelled tracer;  F-18 Fluorodeoxyglucose is commonly used

“A positron emission tomography (PET) scan is done to:

Study the brain’s blood flow and metabolic activity. A PET scan can help a doctor find nervous system problems, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, transient ischemic attack (TIA), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Huntington’s disease, stroke, and schizophrenia.

  • Find changes in the brain that may cause epilepsy.
  • Find some cancers, especially lymphoma or cancers of the breast, brain, lung, colon, or prostate. In its early stages cancer may show up more clearly on a PET scan than on a CT scan or an MRI.
  • See how advanced a cancer is and whether it has spread to another area of the body (metastasized). It is often necessary to do both CT and PET scans to evaluate cancer.
  • Help a doctor choose the best treatment for cancer. PET scans may also be done to see whether surgery can be done to remove a tumor.
  • Find poor blood flow to the heart, which may mean coronary artery disease.
  • Find damaged heart tissue, especially after a heart attack.
  • Help choose the best treatment, such as coronary artery bypass graft surgery, for a person with heart disease.”

Sourcepet tomography, cyclotron, radio labelled

I am enjoying learning about this new and interesting field in the pharmaceutical industry which I haven’t worked in previously. However I think the best thing about manufacturing for pet tomography scans is that I can get home every night for the children after school.

I hate to end vacations http://gimesum.com/blog/end-vacations/109/ http://gimesum.com/blog/end-vacations/109/#comments Sat, 04 Apr 2009 16:17:58 +0000 Paul Palmer http://gimesum.com/blog/?p=109 It’s a great feeling to go away for the Easter break but how do you end vacations without it getting you down? I travelled up north to end vacationsCottingham yesterday to take my sons to their grandma for the Easter break which is cool as I can start my new job on Monday.

When they come back though they will be on a downer, I don’t know how to end vacations without putting them in a depressive mood. I am looking around for ideas as they will have a great time up here in Yorkshire.

What can I do in the last three days before they have to go back to school? I don’t want them to come back and have to do their homework, revision and preparation for school. Whatever I do though I can’t work out a way for them not to return and think “oh no now we are at the end of our vacation we have to get ready for school”.

end vacations, castle, easter breakIt’s difficult because I will still be at work for the first day when they are back so I have to arrange some care for the youngest at least. There are things to do in Sussex, like visiting the local castles, but its not the same as being away on holiday with grandma meeting new people and having fun.

I hope if you read this you will have some ideas of what I can do when my children come home so they don’t get down when the vacation ends.

Please leave a comment I read every one and would love to get some new ideas so that I don’t have to hate to end vacations.

Looking forward to peace and happiness over the Easter Break

Childrens Healthy Living http://gimesum.com/blog/childrens-healthy-living/5/ http://gimesum.com/blog/childrens-healthy-living/5/#comments Sun, 22 Mar 2009 08:27:28 +0000 Paul Palmer http://gimesum.com/blog/?p=5 Healthy living starts at birth its important with your family to promote your childrens healthy living by creating a suitable environment for them to grow up in. The mental development of children is just as important as what they eat. Many people including health advisor’s often focus purely on what we feed our children without considering their psychosocial development.

Think back to when you were young did you get told to eat your greens because they are good for you? Parents consider vegetables an essential part of their childrens healthy lifestyle but there is more to being healthy than food. Many people now go to work, both parents got to work and arrange child care. They want a better life for their children and provide all the physical ameneties, the care and the food but there is more to life than just the physical things we need.

Did you go to church as a child to develop your spiritual well being, I know I certainly did, but unfortunately society now does not lend itself well to regular attendance in church. This being the case we must find alternative approaches to living a healthy lifestyle. What is the alternative, everyone with children should look at how they can have good quality time with their children.

Quality time promotes your childrens healthy living so you must find a way to fit this into your lifestyle for your children to develop in a healthy way. You may think its impossible to spend time with your children. Are you too busy working or socialising maybe? Does your job take over your life preventing you from taking the time to be with those who should be the most important, your family.

Spend some time thinking about this as I did when I took my course with The Pacific Institute they taught me how to focus on the most important things in my life and what I should do to make sure I got them. Now I spend quality time with my children every day,  I’m not perfect, but then noone is, life would be boring if there were nothing to work towards.

The relationships we have in the world are what make us who we are.

Spread love in the world not hate.
