The firm was set up by David Scott in 2008 but suffered initial setbacks when UBS took legal action on the grounds that clients were poached by employees at UBS before leaving.

vstra wealth, you make money online, making you richerUBS won an injunction against Vestra Wealth at that time, but the unexpected victory didn’t leave them reeling, they simply got on with the job. Now Vestra Wealth have regained their poise and are stepping up a hiring spree to boost growth.

The Survival Game, after Redundancy a Meagre Income Allowance http://gimesum.com/blog/the-survival-game-after-redundancy-incom-allowance/107/ http://gimesum.com/blog/the-survival-game-after-redundancy-incom-allowance/107/#comments Thu, 02 Apr 2009 22:07:53 +0000 Paul Palmer http://gimesum.com/blog/?p=107 How do we cope playing the survival game, after redundancy and having to live on a the survival game, after redundancy, income allowancemeagre income allowance?

No matter who you speak to at the moment all too often you hear a tale of woe regarding either a good friend or someone in the family that has been or is being made redundant. Inevitably you start to feel insecure in your job and start looking over your shoulder, and your thoughts meander over the possibility of having to play the survival game, after redundancy and having to live on a meagre income allowance.

When we have a regular income and are managing to keep the wolves from the door, the bank manager at bay and if we’re clever, putting some money into savings ‘for a rainy day’ although, we’re more likely to be saving for a holiday or a new car, or an extension on the house . . . the list of ways we find to spend our savings is endless! It is difficult to comprehend exactly what it must be like to have only Job Seekers benefit, a princely sum of £60.50 per week. Some people spend nearly that much on cigarettes!

Most of us naively believe that it won’t take long to find another job. ‘With all my years of experience and the skills I have developed I’m bound to be snapped up’. If only it was that simple. According to government figures we’ve only just topped 2 million unemployed, so the real figure is likely to be significantly higher, but already employment agencies are saying that on average there are 4 suitable job seekers for every vacancy. Experience suggests that this figure is very optimistic.

The truth is that if you are unfortunate enough to be job seeking after redundancy right now your chances of finding employment in the short term are negligible. In this instance you really don’t have much choice about playing the survival game by restricting your spend and stretching your income allowance.

the survival game, after redundancy, income allowanceWhat we need is an opportunity to exercise our entrepreneurial skills. Just that simple idea that will make us lots of money. You know the type . . Cats Eyes, . . . Traffic Cones. Ah well, back to checking the lottery results!!

Many Nations of Wealth don’t help the needy, Why? http://gimesum.com/blog/nations-of-wealth/103/ http://gimesum.com/blog/nations-of-wealth/103/#comments Thu, 02 Apr 2009 09:04:44 +0000 Paul Palmer http://gimesum.com/blog/?p=103 There are so many nations of wealth around the world why don’t they help the needy before a disaster happens?nations of wealth People rally round when something goes wrong, governments send in aid to deal with natural and man made disasters to the tune of millions of dollars.

Why can’t the nations of wealth with huge budgets and national reserves help the third world countries who are struggling now. Some of the locals in Saint Lucia, a small Caribbean Island see it as their right to steal in order to live. Why?

When the people of America could help their neighbour, why don’t they notice poor peoples plight? Why do they have to wait until something is posted in the media before they send out an envoy or visit the death and destruction, the acute events.

The difference I feel is the same as with health issues, we call have something wrong with us, but it has been there a long time so we ignore it. For example do you know the signs of acute alcohol poisoning? Alcohol poisoning is an acute condition it needs immediate treatment, however the long term use of alcohol can result in a chronic condition which needs long term treatment.

In the world today poverty could be seen as a chronic condition which requires treatment, but its not the political high flyer like a national disaster. Poverty doesn’t hit the headlines and since the nations of wealth are busy dealing with day to day issues the chronic conditions go unnoticed.

How can we make them notice, the nations of wealth are plenty, they have many millions of their own subjects to manage, control and provide for. Is it really down to them to solve the long term chronic problem of poverty around the world? Do they even want to be “cured”.

Please let me know your thoughts on this emotive subject by commenting below I’d love to hear about what you think of the issue.

Paying cards off, the credit card trap http://gimesum.com/blog/paying-cards-off-the-credit-card-trap/67/ http://gimesum.com/blog/paying-cards-off-the-credit-card-trap/67/#comments Sat, 28 Mar 2009 00:49:28 +0000 Paul Palmer http://gimesum.com/blog/?p=67 Are you used to paying cards off as soon as the bill arrives? spider web marketing systemYou shouldn’t spend on a credit card unless you have a plan for paying cards off at the end of the month.

Don’t fall into the trap of spending lots of money on plastic in the belief that you only have to pay it back at the minimum monthly payment of 2%. A £1000 purchase on Mastercard will take over 21 years to pay back at the minimum monthly payment, and by then it will have cost an extra £1327!

Even worse, with payment protection you may never pay it off as after 21 years you would still have an outstanding balance of £997, and by then it would have cost you in excess of £5,283!

Also, the perils of borrowing cash on a credit card are far more significant as the interest rate for cash from a credit card is set higher than the minimum monthly payment so each month the amount of credit outstanding will increase.

There are many people who don’t realise that the APR (Annual Percentage Rate) on cash from a credit card can be as high as 28% or even 32% when normal purchases are charged at circa 16%.

You must always make sure you have the means when you spend on credit that you can habitually make sure you are paying cards off at the end of each month. If you can’t pay them off you have a choice, you either don’t spend on them in the first place, or make more money.

5 minutes a day profit

Personally I always choose the latter, I don’t want to stop buying what I need so I make money online as well as working full time outside the virtual world.

The Perils of Credit Cards http://gimesum.com/blog/the-perils-of-credit-cards/61/ http://gimesum.com/blog/the-perils-of-credit-cards/61/#comments Fri, 27 Mar 2009 23:50:49 +0000 Paul Palmer http://gimesum.com/blog/?p=61 the perils of, credit cardsDuring the current recession brought upon us by the recent so called ‘World Wide Credit Crunch’ we must be mindful of the perils of spending on our credit cards. In a credit funded society such as ours where we have been brainwashed by the banks over the last four decades into believing that living on credit is acceptable.

It has become fashionable to have a hoard of credit cards, all with varying credit limits. In most cases spending up to the limit isn’t a problem as the banks will just increase the limit to encourage further spending.

If you are one of those who settle outstanding balances monthly, well done and its likely that you see a credit card as an essential part of your shopping habits . In this instance the short term borrowing will either be free or relatively inexpensive as the majority of credit cards do not charge interest in the first month.

It all sounds fine until you realise the perils of a thoughtless approach can cost you dear. In the wrong hands a credit card can be dangerous and commit the gullible to long term debt which ultimately can work out hideously expensive.

Other than the perils of credit cards a cardholder does receive the benefit of protection under the Consumer Credit Act and most card issuers also offer many other benefits such as cheaper insurance, fraud and identity theft protection, special rates with certain outlets to name but a few.the perils of, mastercard, visa, american express, discover

For those who do not fully understand the implications of using a credit card there are web sites available that can provide a totally impartial viewpoint detailing the benefits and pitfalls of various credit cards in jargon free plain English.
