I have learned that financially secure is a misnomer. It doesn't matter how much you think you are financially secure, those things can disentigrate quickly. Job loss, foreclosure, death, loss of a child, or other events can put into perspective how much happiness financial security brings. It surely makes things easier sometimes, but ultimately, when you think happiness, you think family. When I think family, as a woman, that is my happiness.
